The Thai Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Society is a group of clinicians who are interested in Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders.
The society is affiliated with the International Parkinson and Movement Disorders Society
and works under the supervision of the Thai Neurological Society.
Disseminate information on movement disorders to doctors and the general public.
Encourage research into the causes, prevention, and treatment of movement disorders.
Provide expertise, advice, and direction to governments and regulatory agencies in order to benefit patients in the approval of safe and effective therapeutic procedures by assisting them in the creation of policies that affect research and patient care.
Objectives
Providing physicians, scientists, and the general public with educational programs designed to advance scientific and clinical knowledge regarding movement disorders.
Collaborating with other international and local organizations.
Using medias to publish articles, movies, and other ancillary materials regarding movement disorders that adhere to high scientific standards.
Increasing support for movement disorder research by using the Society’s influence and resources.
Contact Regulatory agencies, in order to aid patients in the approval of safe and effective therapeutic methods.
